so long time no update... sorry about that, been busy with the goods.
been working on some new ideas in Pd
and been playing with a new breadboard from Radio Shack.
you can check out a little preview of some starter circuits over in my Pd section.
i ran two square wave oscillators into a 4 track via 1/4”, then out the 4 track into Pd via rca.
a little DSP goes a looooong way. listen to the oscillators clean at the end of the mp3.
my friend ARKiV let me remix one of his songs.
i used nothing but Pd and some patches that i'm tweaking out,
namely my [sampler] patch.
i accidently figured out how to do granulization with it recently.
timestretching and everything. accidently!
my other friend E-Bortion
(these are internet monikers if you haven't figured that out by now)
threw some ambient synths over a quick little breakcore test i did in Pd.
it came out pretty good and we're gonna do some more stuff,
maybe throw together an EP.
Finally got my MIDI keyboard up and running into Pd via jack
which should've been obvious, which it was after two months of not trying it.
then i made some breakcore, which is this little diddy right here. need to trim this down but it sounds good.
it basically uses the same setup as the breakcore test in the track with E-B
but hooked up to my oxygen 8 keyboard. which is nasty.
i just did this too, right before updating. just for you.
so coming up, is some tri/sin wave oscillators (already got the square wave)
and hopefully some SVFs.
also, some work with erik.
there will finally be an actual band.
more updates soon.
like less than 3 months from now soon. sorry about that.

2 new abstractions;
flanger~ and reverb~.
both based on msp patches,
but tweaked to my
own personal settings.

here's a recent tune,
made with these patches.
not that pic exactly;
but using all those objects.
drumsynth~ is now synth~
because it's really flexible
and quite generic.
one of the patches
i'm making now uses
samplerBPM's sawtooth
wavetable lookup generator
to also act as a lookup
for a video file.
it's pretty badass.

i compiled Gem last night,
making me an official linux nerd.
then i got cocky and tried to compile Gridflow.
it failed horribly.

so after a botched fedora core 3 installation,
my new hard drive is running ubuntu breezy.
(un?)fortunately, this means no more flash.
but, i will be playing with some new ideas
so
enjoy the minimal layout for now
